Disney Planning Reboots On Home Alone, Cheaper By The Dozen, & More

Disney just announced that they are working on reboots of a number of popular films.

According to Deadline, company CEO Bob Iger shared that the Disney+ streaming service will eventually include reboots of four franchises from its recently acquired Fox library. Those four franchises are Home Alone, Night at the Museum, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and Cheaper by the Dozen.

Iger stated that the films would be "reimagined" for a new generation, but wasn't specific about the forms the reboots would take. Disney is focused on "leveraging Fox's vast library of great titles to further enrich the content mix" in addition to Avatar, Planet of the Apes, X-Men, and Deadpool franchises.

Disney+ streaming service will also include Hulu, and ESPN. By the end of the first year of launch, Disney+ will house more than 7,500 episodes of TV and 400 movies.
