Jittakoat and Magrini finish 2023 ranked No. 45

TEMPE, Ariz. – Fresno State's Pang Jittakoat and Matilde Magrini finished the spring season ranked No. 45 nationally in the final 2023 ITA Division I Women's Collegiate Tennis Doubles Rankings sponsored by Tennis-Point, the ITA announced on Wednesday.

Jittakoat and Magrini were 17-7 overall for 12.58 points when playing together during the 2022-23 campaign, which included an 8-2 record at No. 1 doubles in 2023.

The pair, who have earned back-to-back All-Mountain West Doubles Team honors, qualified and played in the 2023 NCAA Division I Doubles Championship, when the duo faced Illinois' Katherine Duong and Megan Heuser in the Round of 32 at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla.

They were the 10th doubles team in program history to qualify for the NCAA Doubles Tournament and the dynamic duo made the program's 15th all-time doubles appearance in the NCAA Championships after earning the MW's automatic bid as the top-ranked doubles team in the conference.

This past October, Jittakoat and Magrini upset No. 1-seeded Ivana Corley and Carmen Corley of Oklahoma in the ITA Doubles Main Draw Round of 32 during the 2022 ITA Women's All-American Championships.

This was the first time since 2008 that a Bulldog duo has played in the ITA Main Draw Doubles since Melanie Gloria and Tinesta Rowe were the top-seeded pair, who reached the quarterfinals that fall.
