SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Fresno State completed the third day of the TYR Pro Series at the North Natomas Aquatic Center on Friday night. Aliz Kalmar finished second in the 200 breaststroke for her another podium finish.
How it happened
Kalmar took the top-seed in the 200 breaststroke after prelims with a time of 2:30.35 and Jenna Pulkkinen finished in 2:34.14, good for seventh. Both swimmers would once again qualify into the championship final, Pulkkinen would scratch.
Pulkkinen also finished outside finals contention in the 50 freestyle, placing 26th with a time of 27.01. Laura Kalmar finished 17th in the 400 freestyle, but moved up in the consolation final after a scratch.
Kalmar continued her time at the top in the 200 breaststroke. The junior swam tightly against two others for over half of the race and touched second. Kalmar claimed another top-three finish with a time of 2:29.13.
Laura Kalmar finished eighth in the consolation heat and 16th overall in the 400 freestyle with a time of 4:43.25.
