FRESNO, Calif. - After a busy month of traveling, the Fresno State track & field team is back home for the month of May, ready to make some final tune-ups in preparation for the Mountain West Conference Championships. The 'Dogs will be in action May 2-3 for the Fresno State Invite, and the annual alumni event.

What: Burgers, beverages, shot put, and fun with Fresno State track alumni, local track fans, and Bulldog supporters
Music, Food, and Competition
The meet will kick off Friday, May 2 with a fun day at Warmerdam field featuring our yearly Alumni Event. Fun music, good food, cold beverages, and a killer shot put competition will highlight the first day of the meet.
Who to Watch
All eyes will be on senior thrower, Cierra Jackson. Jackson has had an incredible outdoor season so far highlighted by a school record discus throw of 64.42m placing her at #2 in the NCAA and top 10 in the world. Jackson's talent extends beyond just the discus however, as she is an extremely versatile thrower, also dominating in the shot put and hammer throw. For our alumni event, Jackson will star in the shot put competition. Currently ranked #20 in the NCAA in the event, she looks to build upon her personal best of 17.39m set last season.
On the men's side, Jose Zarco-Sanchez will lead the way for the 'Dogs. Currently ranked #12 in the Mountain West, Zarco Sanchez has his sights on improving his personal best of 15.12m and moving into scoring contention for the conference championships.
