'Dogs close day one in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The Fresno State men's golf team finished day one at the William H. Tucker Invitational tied for 8th place, posting a score of 6-under 570 at UNM Championship Golf Course.

Von Wasson moved up eleven spots after carding a 3-under 69 with six birdies in round two, putting him in a tie for 12th place heading into the final round.

Zack Tarter moved five spots up the leaderboard in the second round after shooting 2-under with five birdies, placing him in a tie for 18th place.

Jaden Hunter finished his day at 2-under, Chris Bettencourt shot 4-over, and James Watney wrapped up his day at 5-over.

The final round of the tournament will begin tomorrow at 6:45 a.m. PT.
