Nevada sweeps Fresno State in Reno

RENO, Nev. – Fresno State came up short on the road Thursday night, falling in straight sets (20-25, 14-25, 23-25) to Nevada.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Fresno State opened strong, battling through six ties in a back-and-forth start in the first set. Addison Haluska powered the Bulldogs early with a pair of kills, and Jenna Legault added one to even the score at 15–15. Nevada surged late to close out the set, 25–20.

The Wolf Pack's serve pressure made the difference in the second frame, totaling five aces. Fresno State managed 10 kills on .333 hitting, highlighted by three from Haluska, but Nevada built an early cushion and never looked back.

The Bulldogs fought to extend the match, holding a 21–18 lead behind a balanced effort from Haluska and Legault. However, Nevada rallied with a late 7–2 run to seal the sweep.

Team Notes

Fresno State recorded six team blocks, led by Mya Sellers (4) and Brooklyn Washington (2).

The Bulldogs finished with 35 digs, led by Legault (8) and Olivia Lombardi (3).

Gabby Lombardi's 26 assists mark her fifth match this season with 25 or more.

Addison Haluska led the Bulldogs' attack with 14 kills, hitting .225 on the night to go along with seven digs.

Jenna Legault added eight kills while hitting .333 and tied for the team lead with eight digs.

Setter Gabby Lombardi tallied 26 assists and one ace, while Mya Sellers contributed four blocks to lead the defense at the net.

Fresno State hit .239 as a team, its third-best mark in conference play, but Nevada countered with an efficient .314 clip and 10 service aces to take control.
