FRESNO, Calif. - In their final home and dual meet of 2025, the Fresno State swim and dive team defeated CSU Bakersfield at Fresno State Aquatics Center, 187-88
HOW IT HAPPENED
Fresno State started strong in the 400 yard medley relay, taking first place with a time of 3:47.57 (Ryley Clark, Aliz Kalmar, Hayley Oke, Jenna Pulkkinen). Riley Baldwin followed with a second place finish in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:31.65 for the Bulldogs. Caroline Grimsley tallied another first place finish for Fresno State in the 200 freestyle (1:52.76).
In the 100 backstroke, Ryley Clark and Presley McPhail claimed the top two spots in the race with times of 56.86 and 58.52 respectively. Mackenzie Lung earned a first place in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:02.63, and Ava Elliott followed shortly after by hitting a 2:09.41 in the 200 butterfly for another first place finish for Fresno State.
Hayley Oke took home first place in both the 50 freestyle and 200 backstroke, while Jenna Pulkkinen helped Fresno State win their ninth event of the afternoon after finishing first in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:11.74. The Bulldogs finished the swim portion of the meet with first place finishes by Laura Kalmar in 500 freestyle (5:04.81) and Clare Luken in the 100 freestyle (57.52)
In diving, Natalie Bedolla swept both events as Fresno State claimed the top three spots in each event as well. Bedolla scored 269.70 in the 1-meter and 267.23 in the 3-meter. Grace Ally took second place in the 1-meter with a score of 255.45 and third place in the 3-meter, scoring 233.93. Ariana Pelligra finished third in 1-meter (213.68) before taking second in the 3-meter (238.95).

The Fresno State swim team and dive team will compete in separate invites from Nov. 20 - Nov. 22. The swim team will travel to Utah to compete in the Utah Tech Trailblazer Invite while the dive team will make the trip south to compete in the Trojan Diving Invite, hosted by USC.
