Why Is Kelsea Ballerini Listening To Jessica Simpson On Repeat?

Kelsea Ballerini has been decking the halls and taking in the Christmas spirit with her husband of four years, Morgan Evans.

In a recent interview with Cody Alan, the “half of my hometown” singer shared her Christmas plans and why she is listening to Jessica Simpson this season.

“I am very excited about it! I get serious!” laughs the country star. “As soon as the tree is up, we are only listening to Christmas music. Nothing else is allowed.”

“I am only eating pumpkin or peppermint-inspired things,” giggles Kelsea. “That’s it! We are coming in hot.”

Christmas décor and holiday fare weren’t the only things on this star’s mind. Cueing up Christmas music is one of her favorite things about the season.

“I like to go old school first,” says Kelsea. “Like Bing Crosby.”

“I start there, and then I branch out. You are going to laugh,” teases the country star. “Still to this day, one of my favorite Christmas albums is Jessica Simpson. She killed it!”
