TMSG: Truckers Show Raises $10K For Families Facing Childhood Cancer

The second annual Carolina Mountain Truckers Show did something really good with all of the people gathering together.

Fifty-one trucks showed up for the Carolina Mountain Truckers "Shining for St. Jude" Truck Show on September 18th in Green Mountain, North Carolina. The show had 100% of donations going directly to help St. Jude's Children's Hospital. This year blew their first event's donations of the water. In 2019, they raised $2,500. But this year, they raised more than $10,000 for children and families facing childhood cancer.

The event was held in honor of Megan Denise Vess, who was diagnosed with leukmeia at a young age. She was a patient at St. Jude's and attended the first Carolina Mountain Truckers show where she spoke about St. Jude and what it did for her and her family. She unfortunately passed away on May 16th, 2020 at the age of 18.
